Description

Pain Points of Conventional Geomembrane Applications

High salt content corrosion:High concentrations of sulfates, chlorides, and other substances in salt lake brines accelerate the aging of HDPE geomembrane. Long-term immersion can cause local swelling or a decrease in chemical stability.

Erosion in acidic/alkaline media:

Acidic mine wastewater (pH < 3) or alkaline salt lake environments cause micro-pores in permeable membrane materials and the precipitation of additives, reducing their flexibility and impermeability.

Insufficient puncture resistance.

The salt crystals at the bottom of the salt lake are sharp, and the mine waste rocks have many sharp edges. HDPE geomembranes (especially those with a thickness <1.5mm) are prone to puncture and thus require reliance on composite geotextiles or additional protective layers.

Features of Special Geomembranes for Salt Lake Mine

01. Comparison with traditional geomembranes

Geomembrane Tensile performance is improved by 20%, impact resistance by 60%, puncture resistance by 50%, and wear volume is reduced by 3 times.

02. Additional Advantages

Low friction coefficient (reduces construction wear);

self-lubricating properties (extends service life).

03. Chemical Barrier

Resist corrosion from high-concentration brine and ensure zero leakage for over 20 years.

04. Physical Protection

Salt-resistant crystal puncture resistance, wind and sand wear resistance, suitable for extreme environments.

05. Stable and Durable

Wide temperature range adaptability plus anti-ultraviolet aging, meeting the full life cycle requirements of salt lakes.

06. Environmental Compliance

Meet the strict requirements of the ‘Environmental Protection Specifications for Salt Lake Brine Mineral Development’ (GB/T 38582-2020).

07. Safety Reliability

Puncture-resistant, tear-resistant, and chemically corrosion-resistant, ensuring ‘zero leakage’ in extreme environments.

08.Ultra-long Lifespan

It has excellent wear resistance and anti-aging properties, which are synchronized with the mine operation cycle, thus avoiding mid-term replacement.

09. Adapt to Complex Loads

Resisting settlement, mechanical compaction, and temperature stress, its stability is far superior to traditional materials.
